Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
ACTS 3:25-26 (kjv)
So who then is a blessed man?
A blessed man is one who has been “turned away from his iniquities”, one whose sin has been taken away, one who is in Christ.
Don’t become so natural in your thinking that if you don’t have some material possessions, then you feel you’re not blessed.
If it’s about material possessions, then many wealthy unbelievers do not need God.
To put anything above who Jesus is and what He has done is to commonize what He has done.
Jesus coming to die for your sins is the blessing.
Salvation is the blessing.
That’s the blessing that was preached to Abraham.
Man being restored back to his original place in God.
But you must understand that your soul comes first; everything else is extra.
Don’t use the world’s definitions for biblical interpretation; what God calls blessed is not what the world calls blessed.
The child of God is never to feel inferior; don’t be ignorant of who you are or what you carry.
The devil wants to debase you and make you feel small; he wants to take you away from this consciousness.
Jesus said a man’s life doesn’t consist in the abundance of things that he possesses. He also said, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose His soul?”
Does it mean we shouldn’t possess material things? No, we need them in this world.
But Jesus comes first, and everything else follows; so you are blessed because you are saved.
